Therapeutic Counsellor

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counsellor to work at Wellspring schools across our eastern region of Lincolnshire and North East Lincolnshire. The focus of the role will be to offer small groups and 1:1 sessions to children and young people although dependent on the needs of the individual schools this will also include a counselling offer for school staff. You will have the responsibility of answering a health and wellbeing helpline and providing virtual support services to schools.
You will establish close working relationships with the schools and embed the counselling offer within the school setting, working closely with the school leadership, safeguarding and pastoral teams.  You will have a good knowledge of the local CAMHS system and other mental health services for children and young people. You will provide self-help strategies to enable the children and young people to understand their mental health difficulty, monitoring and evaluating their progress throughout the intervention.

Salary £28,489 – £30,253 (dependent upon experience and qualifications)
Start Date: As soon as possible
